The Distribution Policy is the supply-chain document. It explains who synthesises the compound, who fills the pen, who tests the lot, who ships the cold-chain box, and what the rules are for resale, counterfeits, institutional accounts and partnership inquiries. Read together with the Shipping Policy and the Refund Policy, it describes the operational backbone of the company.
Zerovial is the distributor and operator of record for pre-filled, dial-an-aliquot research-compound pens produced by a contract manufacturer under documented controls. The relationship is a direct, written distribution arrangement between Zerovial and the contract manufacturer. Zerovial does not synthesise the compounds, does not fill the pens, does not source from the grey market, does not relabel and does not repackage. Manufacturer paperwork, lot identifier, and primary product responsibility rest with the contract manufacturer; Zerovial operates the distribution layer.
Each pen and batch label carries a batch identifier exactly as produced. Zerovial does not alter, photoshop or otherwise obscure batch paperwork in product photography, in the warehouse, or in shipping. The Zerovial mark appears on the paperwork, the cold-chain box exterior, the order confirmation email and the storefront.
Every lot Zerovial distributes follows the same four-step pipeline. The pipeline is auditable by lot identifier from the storefront product page: each lot's two Janoshik PDFs reference the manufacturer paperwork, and each Order confirmation references both the lot and the certificates.
Every lot has a public Janoshik record on zerovial.com before the lot is sold to a Researcher. Researchers can verify the certificate before a purchase decision, not after, by reading the two PDFs linked from the product page. The PDFs are issued by Janoshik on the lab letterhead and are independent of any document Zerovial produces.
After delivery, the same two PDFs are referenced on the order confirmation, on the cold-chain box exterior label and on the certificate-of-analysis library at /lab-testing. The certificate library is the canonical, version-controlled record of every lot Zerovial has distributed; it is also the record we work from when a researcher invokes the certificate guarantee in the Refund Policy.
From manufacturer outbound through Janoshik handling, UK warehouse storage, and cold-chain box dispatch, the temperature regime is engineered to keep the compound within the stability envelope published by the manufacturer. Insulated boxes, ice-pack count and pre-conditioning, route selection and cut-off (see section 02 of the Shipping Policy) are calibrated to maintain temperature for at least seventy-two (72) hours from dispatch under typical transit conditions.
Cold-chain integrity is verified at each handoff. Tamper seals are applied at the warehouse and inspected at delivery. Where a tamper seal is broken at receipt, or the ice-pack record indicates the chain has been compromised, the Order is treated as a cold-chain failure under the Refund Policy and replaced free of charge.
Products distributed by Zerovial are sold strictly to qualified Researchers for in-vitro laboratory work. Resale, redistribution, repackaging, relabelling, listing on consumer marketplaces or social-media DM channels, or onward transfer to a non-Researcher consumer is forbidden as a condition of sale. The eligibility attestation in the Terms of Service is the operative restriction; this section is the supply-chain corollary.
Where Zerovial identifies a counterfeit, diverted or repackaged listing of a Zerovial-branded pen on a third-party marketplace, social-media account or storefront, Zerovial issues a takedown notice. Where the listing references a real lot identifier, Zerovial also flags the underlying Order and the Researcher Account that originated the lot for review.
Counterfeit listings (whether they reference Zerovial, a real batch identifier, or a fabricated identifier) should be reported to compliance@zerovial.com with a screenshot and the listing URL. Zerovial maintains an internal counterfeit register, files takedown notices with the marketplace operator, and publishes a quarterly summary of takedowns at /lab-testing for transparency.
Researchers who buy what they believed to be a Zerovial-branded pen from a non-Zerovial channel and discover the lot does not match a published Janoshik certificate are encouraged to report through the same channel. Zerovial cannot honour the certificate guarantee on third-party purchases, but the report helps the takedown effort and is appreciated.
Zerovial distributes worldwide to qualified Researchers, except to the destinations on the no-ship list published in the Shipping Policy. Inclusion on the no-ship list is driven by sanctions, customs rules, courier capacity, and local-law restrictions on receipt of research compounds. The no-ship list is updated as those constraints evolve and is honoured at the Order-confirmation step.
Where a Researcher destination is on the screened list rather than the no-ship list, Zerovial may request additional documentation (for example, an institutional letter, an end-use statement, or a research-use exclusion declaration) before the Order ships. The screening exists to satisfy customs and the carrier, not to obstruct the Researcher.
Bulk and institutional accounts are accepted on application to compliance@zerovial.com. The application requires the institution's legal name, registered address, the named Researcher role, the institution research-use letter, and the expected order cadence. Approved institutional accounts may be granted bulk pricing, net-terms billing, and direct-courier-account billing at the institution election.
Reseller-style accounts (that is, accounts that propose to redistribute Zerovial-supplied pens to onward Researchers) are not granted as a default. The default is a single-Researcher or single-institution account. Where Zerovial authorises a reseller relationship for a specific jurisdiction, the relationship is documented in writing, the reseller is listed publicly at /lab-testing, and the reseller is bound to the same eligibility, attestation and distribution terms that apply to direct researchers.
Press inquiries (interviews, fact-checking, embargoed access to a new lot certificate, public-facing partnership announcements) are handled through press@zerovial.com. Zerovial responds to press inquiries within two (2) UK business days during normal news cycles.
Lab partnership inquiries (for example, an analytical laboratory proposing an additional independent test, a journal proposing a method-development collaboration, or a contract-research organisation proposing a study reference standard) are handled through compliance@zerovial.com. We respond within five (5) UK business days.
Zerovial's sourcing and verification arrangements are reviewed annually. Material changes (for example, addition of a manufacturing site, addition of a second testing lab, change of the cold-chain courier set, or a change to the distribution territory) are signposted on the Site at /lab-testing and at /about, and material changes that affect Researcher rights under any other policy in this set (Terms of Service, Privacy, Shipping, Refund) are notified by email to all Account holders at least fourteen (14) days before they take effect.
